VS 2010 SP1 Crashes when Viewing TFS 2008 Build Reports

Over the last couple of days, it became obvious that VS2010 was having a hard time opening up build reports originating from a TFS 2008 server. A hard crash was occurring each time I attempted to open up a in-progress or completed build report in Team Explorer.

Looks the crashing has to do with the recent Service Pack for VS2010.

Microsoft has already made available a hotfix that addresses this issue, which can be downloaded here.

I can confirm that TFS 2008 build reports are working normally following the application of this hotfix.

You can install the hotfix while your Visual Studio is running, so no need to interrupt your work with this. A restart of the IDE is required, however, in order for the fix to take effect.
